Owner Operator Qualifications

Maintaining quality hiring standards allows us to enter into a lease with the most progressive owners in the industry. If you are a true professional there is only one choice: Hunt Transportation or one of its Affiliated Companies.

Driver Qualifications

• To become a qualified Owner-Operator, you must be at least 22 years of age and have not less than one year verifiable over-the-road driving experience within the last three years.
• Your experience must involve driving a five-axle tractor-trailer in an interstate operation.
• No alcohol or drug related convictions within the previous five years.
• You will need to possess a Class “A” Commercial Drivers License and your driving record will be thoroughly reviewed.
• Hunt requires a completed application from you in order to begin the driver qualification process. After Hunt has received the application and completed its review of your job history, if qualified, you will be invited to sign an Owner-Operater lease agreement with Hunt Transportation and attend the two-day orientation program in Omaha, Nebraska.
